Sonya Schumacher has a B.A. in Studio Art ,ceramics concentration from Humboldt State University. She completed She completed her M.A. in Art Education with an emphasis on Arts Based-Research in 2026 form Boston University. She currently teaches Art in Elk Grove Unified. Schumacher Ceramics was founded in 1985 by Bob Schumacher, largely producing architectural ceramics,murals, and home decor. Bob & Sonya, paired up in 1995 and added a gallery to feature their art pottery & sculpture and host regional artists to show with them. Gallery closed in 2018. Hours by appt. at their Galt studio
