So, I have begun the arduous task of redoing our website. We had been with a previous platform for almost 2 decades, but the template they provided simply expired and nothing new was put in its place that was user friendly for techno-challenged person like me. So here goes, I am working up the basic format then will add more display of the sculptures, pottery , and architectural ceramics as I can.
I know Covid has hit us all hard--one thing I plan to do as soon as I get the basic in place, is to share pieces that were made during covid by Bob & I . It was a "one step up, and two steps back" process for sure. At first it seemed pretty good, teaching from home left out commute times, and more time in the studio. However that quickly faded with the growing amount of time it took to lesson plan and grade having to type so much more ,and instead of just picking ceramic objects up in my hands to grade , having to click on various views of images and wait for them to load. Bob & I both agreed --in person is better! But we had to do our best under all the circumstances. We are fortunate at this time to have most of our livilyhood teaching right now, rather than studio work--as it was in the past. Our hearts go out to all the artists working hard to make ends meet right now.
